La Raza Cultural Days:
Semana de la Raza

In Lak'ech Ala Kin ☻ Si te sano a ti, me sano a mi ☻ If I heal you, I heal myself

April 25th-30th, 2016

La Raza Cultural Days aims to empower the Chicanx/Latinx community at UC Davis, while creating a space for diverse community to come together to address social, cultural, and political issues affecting our Chicanx/Latinx community. LRCD includes Semana de la Raza & La Gran Tardeada. Semana is a week of educational programs, symposiums, conferences, workshops, lectures, and entertainment. LRCD culminates with La Gran Tardeada, our large quad event on Saturday from 12-7pm.

Description of this year's theme:
Inspired by the poet Luis Valdez, and their poem "Pensamiento Serpentino", this years theme focuses on collective healing from an indigenous perspective. It also falls in line with this year’s Cross Cultural Center annual programming theme of Health and Healing. Through this year’s programs, we hope to create space to address how we heal within community while also contributing to the healing of our larger community.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
