Bio

Ian Zamora (he/him) is a second generation Filipinx-American Hip Hop educator. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Teacher Preparation with a minor in Asian American Studies and his Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of San Francisco. Grounded in his values of justice, equity, and inclusion as well as a #HipHopEd approach to his work, he hopes to provide empowerment on all levels by cultivating the knowledge, skills, and awareness of individuals and communities through workshops, expression, advocacy, and self-work here at UC Davis and beyond. Beyond his role as one of the Cross Cultural Center’s Program  Coordinators, he is a DJ, rock climber, and nerd who loves Star Wars, various anime, video games, and most of all, corgis!
