Powwow Student Co-Coordinator
Tori McConnell (Yurok; she/her) is a second year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major currently exploring other major and minor options. As Powwow Student Coordinator, she hopes to contribute to the success and development of the UC Davis Native American Culture Days and Powwow events, with the overarching goal of honoring and bringing greater visibility to the vastly diverse cultures and traditions of American Indian and California Indian peoples. She also serves as the treasurer of Davis Chamber Choir and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society Davis Chapter. In her free time, Tori enjoys spending time with her housemates and fellow choir members, attending as many Native community events as physically possible, exercising/daydreaming about the completion of the ARC renovation, cooking, eating salmon astonishingly frequently, and marveling at the complexity and coolness of science/the universe/life!
