Peer Education and Community Empowerment (PEACE)

About PEACE

Peer Education and Community Empowerment (PEACE) is a peer-to-peer education group in the Cross Cultural Center dedicated to building critical consciousness and active allyship among communities on campus. One of the ways we do so is by holding workshops for organizations and clubs on campus about social identities, multiple dimensions of identity, and intersectionality. In order to request a PEACE workshop, please fill out this form. Workshop guidelines are listed below

What We Offer

Workshops Offered:

We offer 1.5 hour and 2 hour workshops. Workshops must be a minimum of 1.5 hours as we feel this is the shortest amount of time in which a successful workshop can be completed.

PEACE Training (1.5 - 2 hrs)

In an effort to build social awareness and critical consciousness, this training establishes a foundation of understanding of intersectionality, multiple dimensions of identity, and social identities.

Who Are You? Solidarity & Allyship Training (1.5 - 2 hrs)

Solidarity and allyship are actions not identities. Training will cover identity exploration, cultural competency, privilege and oppression in relation to solidarity and allyship work.
